Allen Iverson attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C from 1994 to 1996 where he played for the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team. During his two years at Georgetown, Iverson was named the Big East Rookie of the Year in 1995 and was also named the Big East Player of the Year in 1996. He helped lead the Hoyas to the NCAA Tournament in both years he played, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 1996. Despite playing just two collegiate seasons, Iverson is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in Georgetown basketball history. The university retired his jersey in 2008.
